Scotland’s summer returned for the beautiful wedding of Isobel and Blair at the Strathaven Hotel! Scottish weddings are always special but seeing a friend from school getting married is pretty wonderful. Here are some screenshots while we get cracking on editing the footage!
There is something quite magical about the wedding of Katharine and Patrick at Duntreath Castle in Scotland. Maybe it is the fairytale castle itself or maybe it is the fantastic hand-crafted decorations that our lovely couple had clearly spent a lot of time planning and creating. Either way, a stunning wedding day and a privilege for White Balloon Films to be able to capture it on video!

We had been looking forward to Nisha and Steve’s Hindu-Scottish wedding for over a year now and what an absolute cracker it was! A hugely entertaining Hindu ceremony was followed by Church of Scotland ceremony, a banquet and one hell of a party! This is going to be a great wedding video to edit but while we get working on that, here are some screenshots from this epic day!
It has been a while since we have had to use suncream at a wedding but the beautiful Brig O’Doon wedding of Lynsay and Jamie Richardson was one such day where it was very much necessary! Just look at the big blue skies and gorgeous sun-flares in their Glasgow wedding video highlights. Scotland really is blessed with some stunning wedding venues and Ayrshire has a fair few of these, Brig O’Doon being one such venue. From the amazing ballroom through to the manicured lawns of the gardens, it is such a great place to be a Scottish wedding videographer. What more could you ask for at a wedding in Scotland. An outdoor wedding ceremony on the lawn in front of a country mansion prior to a right good party in a converted barn in the grounds of this wonderful estate. The Byre At Inchyra provides all of this and Stephanie and Stephen were clearly having a smashing time enjoying what must have been one of the most detailed Scottish weddings we have seen to date. There were so many details and decorations to film that we sometimes had to remind ourselves that we were there to film people too! Such a perfect combination of rustic charm and traditional class, this really is a wedding to remember. After such a spectacular July, what happened to the weather in August?! This is Scotland after all and a bit of rain certainly wasn’t going to dampen spirits at the tremendous wedding of Alison and Calum at 29 Glasgow. Such a lovely couple and you can see from the screenshots the warmth and positive energy that flowed between them on their wedding day. It is always a pleasure for White Balloon Films to be invited to be wedding videographer for our couples. For us though, after a long summer of travelling around Scotland, it was a pleasure to film a wedding on our doorstep…29 Glasgow! Dalhousie Castle in Edinburgh is the perfect wedding venue! A spectacular castle from the outside, a gorgeous chapel for the wedding ceremony, complete with an owl to deliver the rings, a magnificent drawing room to host the reception and in the case of Laura and Sean’s wedding, a clear-blue sky day with wonderful sunshine! Laura and Sean’s Edinburgh wedding was a cracking affair. The couple were clearly in their element the whole day and it was such a pleasure to be working away behind the scenes capturing their wedding on video. Well, we don’t know what has happened to the amazing Scottish summer but that wasn’t going to stop Nicola and Gary having an amazing time at their Glasgow wedding. The brilliant Oran Mor played host to their ceremony and reception and as always, created a stunning setting for this wedding. Following the ceremony, the bridal party made a dash for the Botanic Gardens and as you can see from the screenshots below, spirits were high! It was a wonderful day for all concerned and we look forward to bringing you the wedding video highlights from this classic Glasgow celebration but in the meantime, here are some screenshots!
White Balloon Films loves wedding blogs. They are such a great way for brides to find inspiration for their wedding and for a wedding videography team like ourselves, having our couple’s wedding featured on a blog is not only great for the couple, but gives a little bit of exposure for our business and all the hard work we put into capturing memories on video. As such, it seemed only right that we added Love My Dress to the list. Love My Dress is the UK’s largest blog as measured by Facebook likes. It was the amazing wedding of Christy and Eddie that featured. A stunning St Salvator’s Chapel ceremony followed by a rural and rustic yet contemporary reception at Kinkell Byre.
